Good Morning everyone! By now all families will have been contacted by someone from the school to confirm whether or not your child(ren) will be taking part in supplemental learning activities provided by us.  Those who require either a device or Wifi - your request has been sent to the division and you should hopefully hear from them soon.
  Those who will be taking part in supplemental learning MUST sign up to their teacher's Google Classroom in order to recieve ANY material.  For Grades 7/8, this means students must sign up to my classroom, as well as Mrs. Steiner's.  For Ms. Steiner/Ms. Castle's Grade 5/6s, they must sign up to their classrooms, as well as mine. This is the platform that will be used with Grades 5-8.  K-4 will be using SeeSaw. I have sent an email invitation to join my class to all students on their school email account.  To join they just need to follow the link.  This must be done before Monday though, as the first work will be going out then. 
  On my classroom, I have also provided a link to the school and division libraries where students can sign out eBooks and audio books to use at home.  I have provided instruction on my Google Classroom page.
  You may hear your children talk about "Zoom" meetings with their teachers.  Zoom is an online video meeting platform that functions similar to "Facetime" on your phone, but can accomodate larger numbers of people.  Our staff meetings are all done over Zoom.  Some teachers are starting to schedule Zoom meeting times with students, but not everyone will be doing this off the start - we've got a pretty steep learning curve to navigate in a short period, so please be patient with us (this technology thing is tough for some of us "older" teachers. lol).
  So please have your children sign up to our Google Classrooms so that they can get their learning materials on Monday.  Please take care and stay safe.  Have a good weekend!
